Warm Up
"Warm Up" was an effortless and relaxed editorial I did with the beautiful Naomi. Featured on www.sticksandstonesagency.com, which for those that don't know is an awesome and hugely successful fashion agency from Australia. You should check them out! I am working 7 days a week to juggle my clients in the salon and to foster my photograph endeavours. I only shoot what I think is cool. Hope you think its cool too. This is what sticks and stones agency had to say in their own words:

I wanted to share another beautiful published editorial, this time on solismagazine.com. This particulare beauty editorial was shot by the immensely talented Jessy Pesce. The rest of the team also oozed talent such as top notch makeup from Juliette Benoit, and jewellery from Shawna Tabacznik Jewellery. Our muse for the shoot was local actress and model Taylor Mckay of Elmer Olsen Models. Hair naturally, was by me. It is nice to finish the year of 2014 off on a high note, and being recognized as one of Toronto's and Canada's top talents. Every time I set out to style hair or shoot a new girl, I do so with the intent of creating long lasting pieces of art that can hopefully be appreciated by the viewer. I feel that to be one of Torontos best hairstylist's (and photographers) you have to do so by continually pushing forward and surrounding yourself with like minded creative visionaries. There is no time to rest on your laurels. I would like to thank all of the clients, models, friends, family, colleagues and anyone who has inspired me for pushing me to achieve bigger and better things. I wish you all a happy and healthy 2015 and encourage you to stay tuned and keep your eyes open for all the new work which will be released in the near future.... STAY TUNED
Guido Di Salle Photography
I have slowly (or not so slowly) ventured into photography which showcases my ability for hair as well as an eye for what I believe looks cool. If you haven't already, please take a look at my photography page at www.guidodisalle.com/photography where I will be updating it as new work becomes available to post. I have already got some attention from international publications such as 2minutter and Nextdoormodel to name a couple. I am also working on different projects including fashion oriented photography as well as some cool laid back fashion portraits for magazines that have asked me to submit my work. I am blessed at this point to only photograph what I think is cool and beautiful, an advantage and freedom that is afforded by few. My photography will be constantly evolving so please feel free to check back often.
2minutter.com
Had the pleasure of being showcased for the first time as a photographer for a super cool magazine, 2minutter.com I encourage you to check it out because they feature some of the coolest editorials I have ever seen, featuring beautiful women such as Sam Blacky and Emily Palos to say the least and add to that list the beautiful and local, Michelle Nadeau. Its an absolute pleasure to have shot her with the talented makeup artist Nicole Lupis, and to have Michelle as a client. One more magazine down, a ton more to go.
Point and Shoot.....
Haven't updated the blog in a very long time. That's because I have been busy building my photography book. Check back every so often to see more images like this, the undeniably beautiful Michelle Nadeau of Icon Model Management. Makeup by Nicole Lupis. Also, if you haven't already, add me to instagram @guidodisalle to see images and behind the scenes in a more timely manner.....

Hair and Makeup Refresher for Summer
Every now and then a client sits in your chair that really puts things into perspective. Our makeover candidate is Caitlin and she deserves some thoughtful pampering. Caitlin currently has 2 young children and is caring for her mother who is battling breast cancer. She is exuberant to be getting an update and her personality is infectious. Gina-Marie and I were very willing to give Caitlin a little help in the beauty department, and she was really pleased and thankful for it. These are the kind of situations where you really admire peoples strength, especially for a woman like Caitlin who is juggling her job with family life.
HAIR:
When assessing Caitlin's hair I noticed that her shade of color was off, and that the geometry of her haircut was leaving a little to be desired as well. I addressed the color situation by highlighting the hair and packing many foils close together to achieve a more overall blonde look. The previous color had quite a bit of a medium-golden brown throughout that in my opinion looked like low lights gone bad. I made a conscious effort of weaving my highlights to pick up as much of the previous medium-golden brown so I could really make her color pop. Caitlin looks best light and bright and I kept this feel by toning her with my custom toner that reproduces that "california" blonde I always rave about. This is the kind of blonde I am known for.
With Caitlin's cut, I really liked the length, and in fact have advised her to grow it out a little. The geometry of the cut was a little off with a few sparse layers on top, and not much in terms of layering through out the interior, or what I like to call the "bulk" of the haircut. This is the area that I believe is usually the culprit of bad haircuts. I decided to shorten the layers throughout the interior of this cut and revive it by alleviating some weight.
I finished off Caitlin's look by using some Moroccanoil Volumizing Mousse and blow drying the hair with medium size boar bristle brushes. The new geometry combined with the mousse really provided tons of lift and movement. Caitlin now looks a little more like herself and has a hair style that matches her personality.
MAKEUP:
For Caitlin's look, we went for a soft use of spring/summer-esque colors on both the lips and eyes. She has gorgeous blue eyes which were accentuated with corals and pinks that make blue eyes pop. For some added radiance, I used one of MAKE UP FOR EVER's Star Powders in a beautiful peachy pink to give the lids an iridescent glow. Caitlin wanted to make her eyes look bigger with a cat eye, which we achieved using MAKE UP FOR EVER's Aqua Black gel eye liner with an angled liner brush. Her eyes were open when creating the 'flick' which helped create the shape perfectly without any 'hooks'. Brows were filled in using a brow gel that is waterproof, which means your brows will not sweat off in the heat!
Her skin was a mix of HD Foundation (MAKE UP FOR EVER) in 117 and 120 mixed with Uplight #12 applied with a Beauty Blender (of course!). This is my #1 favourite skin application technique for a gorgeous summer glow. On her lips, we used a pink lipstick that complimented her eye look and skin tone.
